Elders are spiritual leaders in our church, each serving a three year term. Elders pray over the Lord's Supper, visit members who are sick or homebound, and serve as shepherds to small groups within our congregation. While candidates prepare for baptism, Elders come alongside to serve as mentors.
Foothills has a robust knitting ministry that meets on Monday mornings. In addition to creating items for service projects such as knitting baby hats for a nearby NICU, our knitters also create prayer shawls. When someone is in the hospital, or experiencing grief off any kind we give prayer shawls as a physical presence of our love and prayers.
To enable individuals to maintain mobility and comfort during or after a medical treatment or an accident Foothills has a program in place to provide, as available, durable medical equipment for short term loan. Examples of the equipment that is available on a first come first serve basis are: manual wheel chairs, transport chairs, sets of crutches, shower chair, walkers with seats, folding walkers, knee scooters, canes, and ice water therapy pump unit. Requests for the equipment, or donations of serviceable equipment or monetary donations to
maintain the equipment may be made by calling the church office (623) 516-.9192
